He was a batsman with Cardiff CC who was drafted in as a late replacement into the Glamorgan side for their Minor County Championship match at the Arms Park in June 1903 against Monmouthshire. However, he cut a rather anonymous figure as he did not bat, bowl or take a catch in the rain-affected draw.
