Willie Whitehill was Glamorgan`s reserve wicket-keeper during the early 1960s.

He had kept for Newport CC since his teens and first played for the county`s 2nd  XI in 1959. Willie duly joined the Glamorgan staff as the understudy to David Evans and during 1960 when david was injured, Willie appeared in seven first-class matches, with his debut coming against Worcestershire at Stourbridge.

He found few other opportunities following David’s return to fitness, as well as the emergence of Eifion Jones as a capable wicket-keeper and a very useful batsman. Willie continued to play for Glamorgan’s 2nd XI until 1964, but did not play again in first-class cricket.
