William Evans played for the St. Paul’s club in Cardiff and had a decent record as a batter in local cricket.
With Glamorgan seeking fresh, young talent he was included in the county’s line-up for two friendlies at the Arms Park during May 1891, first against Gloucestershire and secondly against a Colts XX. William did little of note in either game and was not called up again.
