William Edmunds played for the Gentlemen of Glamorgan against the Players at Cardiff Arms Park during mid-June 1907. The solicitor from Llanelli had been educated at Llandovery College and was a talented all-rounder. Batting at number ten, he made 8* and 8, besides claiming 3/16 in six overs during the Players second innings, but in was in a losing cause as the Gentlemen went down to a 51-run defeat.
