Tom Lancefield played for Surrey between 2009 and 2011 before agreeing a one-year contract with Glamorgan for 2014.
Educated at Whitgift School, Tom progressed through age-group and Academy cricket to appear in nine first-class, as well as six white-ball games for the South London club. After being released by Surrey the left-handed batsman played some useful innings for the Unicorns in one-day cricket, besides being the leading run-scorer during 2013 for Glamorgan 2nd XI whilst on trial with the Welsh county.
His efforts secured a one-year contract for 2014, with the opening batsman, making his Championship debut against Leicestershire in May – his first appearance in the red-ball tournament for almost four years. Tom also played in the away matches against Essex and Worcestershire. However, he failed to post a substantial score in 1st XI games and was released at the end of the summer.
