Thomas Treloar, a journeyman professional, played for Glamorganshire against Radnorshire at Llandrindod Wells during in August 1872 a couple of months after appearing for Middlesex against Oxford University at the Prince’s ground in Chelsea. The right-handed batter and fast roundarm bowler scored 5 and 0 in his sole appearance for Glamorganshire, besides claiming a pair of wickets in each innings.
Born in Cornwall, he played on a professional basis for a number of clubs in North England, including Ilkley, Hunslet, Mirfield and Halifax (Trinity) besides being attached to the East Hants club in 1868.
Having failed to secure regular employment with a county team, he started to act as a promotor of exhibition matches and acted as the manager of the Clown Cricketers, later the Imperial Cricketers, who toured North America in 1876.
