Sidney Lewis appeared in one game for Glamorgan against Carmarthenshire at Llanelli in 1906. A tobacconist by trade, he had succeeded his father in running the family’s business in the prosperous suburb of Roath in Cardiff.
With a decent record as a middle-order batter with Cardiff CC, Sidney at the age of 33, was given an opportunity to display his talents in the Minor County Friendly against Carmarthenshire at Stradey Park, but it proved to be his sole appearance at county level.
