
Stuart Phelps was a left-arm spinner who made his first-class debut for Glamorgan in 1993 against the Australian tourists at Neath.
Having progressed from the Welsh Schools side during the early 1990s and playing for the Glamorgan Colts and Wales Minor Counties, Stuart appeared in two Championship matches during 1994, but was released by Glamorgan in 1995 without having played any further first-class cricket.
Stuart then joined the Lord`s groundstaff in 1996 and had brief trials with Hampshire, Northamptonshire and Durham, besides playing Minor County Cricket for Huntingdonshire. He subsequently joined the Armed Forces and besides serving in Afghanistan, he played for the Combined Services. Since 2010 Stuart has been playing for Port Talbot Town in the South Wales Premier League.
