Steve Monkhouse spent two years on Glamorgan`s books during the late 1980`s after a couple of years on the staff of Warwickshire.

The left-arm seamer made his Glamorgan debut against Oxford University at The Parks in 1987, and later in the season took 5/32 in the Nat West Trophy match against Cheshire. But he only played in a further eight first-class matches, and never established a regular first team place.

Steve subsequently played in Lancashire League cricket for Ramsbottom CC as well as in Minor County cricket for Staffordshire.
