Stephen Henderson

Steve Henderson played in 27 first-class matches for Glamorgan between 1983 and 1985. During this time he scored Championship centuries against Warwickshire at Edgbaston as well as Sussex    at Hove, with the Cambridge Blue viewed in some quarters as a potential captain. However, Steve retired from county cricket in 1985 and subsequently worked in the City of London

The forceful left-handed batsman had previously played for Worcestershire between 1977 and 1981 whilst studying at Durham University. He then became a postgraduate at Magdalene College in 1982 and whilst at Cambridge University, Steve scored a career-best 209* against Middlesex at Fenner`s.

After leaving the first-class game, Henderson played for Hertfordshire and the Minor Counties, besides serving on various MCC committees.
