ir George Duntze played several times for the South Wales Cricket Club in 1864 and 1865 having been raised in West Wales where he also played for Carmarthenshire and Breconshire. In September 1884 he became the Fourth Baronet Duntze of Tiverton.

Born in Yorkshire and raised in Pembroke shire, George was the son the Rev. Samuel Duntze. His early cricket was for Haverfordwest CC and Tivyside, before he appeared for Carmarthenshire against Glamorganshire at Llanelly House in 1861. That summer he took 6/5 playing for Tenby CC against the Cambridge Vacation Club, as well as claiming nine wickets in the match between Haverfordwest and Swansea. In 1863 he also played for Pembrokeshire against Carmarthenshire at Tenby but this proved to be his last match of note in Wales as he moved to London.

In 1864 he guested for the South Wales Cricket Club against the Knickerbockers at Islington before the following summer playing for the Gentlemen of Islington against the United South of England XI as well as winning selection in the Gentlemen of Middlesex side which played the Middlesex Colts. His presence in the London area also allowed George to participate in the South Wales Cricket Club’s tour of the Home Counties, making 33 against the Gentlemen of Kent at Gravesend. He also featured in the match with Middlesex Club and Ground, I Zingari and Surrey Club and Ground.

He was also a member of the MCC and in 1866 played for them against the Royal Artillery at Woolwich as well as their away matches with Norfolk and Suffolk. In 1867 George also played for the MCC against Northumberland , Devon and the Free Foresters, as well as appearing in 1868 against Norfolk. The latter was his last match of not and on 31 July 1869 he married Harriett Thomas in Paddington. The couple had three children.
