
Sam Kirnon was born in Lancashire but brought up in Montserrat. After leaving school in the West Indies, he joined the British Army and became a Physical Training Instructor.
After success in Services cricket, as well as for Dortmund CC in Germany, the all-rounder joined Lancashire League club Ramsbottom in 1990 besides having a trial with Glamorgan. He duly spent the next two years on Glamorgan`s staff, appearing in three one-day games and one first-class match in 1992, against Oxford University at the Parks.
After leaving the Welsh county, Sam appeared in West Indian domestic cricket for Montserrat as well as playing for various clubs in the Essex Premier League. Since retiring from playing Sam has become Head Coach at the Dominica Cricket Academy.
