Ricky Needham

Ricky Needham played once for Glamorgan, against Cambridge University at Swansea during 1975.

The hard-hitting all-rounder and seam bowler was in the Harrow XI between 1966 and 1970, before appearing for Welsh Schools and Glamorgan 2nd XI from 1973. His sole 1st XI appearance came with the visit to Swansea of the Cambridge University team.

The Cardiff-based solicitor was a stalwart of the St. Fagans club from the early 1970s, and he led them to victory in the 1991 Haig Village Final at Lord`s. He played for Wales between 1975 and 1986, besides serving for many years on the Glamorgan committee. In recent times, Ricky has sat on the ECB’s Disciplinary committee.
