Raymond Parry read French and History at Jesus College, Oxford, and during his university vacation in June 1944, he played for Glamorgan against the Western Command at his home ground at Ynysangharad Park in Pontypridd.
It proved to be his only game for Glamorgan, although he subsequently appeared in Minor County cricket for Devon during 1950.
