Prem Sisodiya, who made his Championship debut for Glamorgan during 2018, was the first Welsh-born Asian to play for the Welsh county.
Educated in Cardiff and at Clifton College, Prem impressed as a left-arm spinner in schools and junior cricket before securing a place in the Glamorgan Academy and appearing in Colts and 2nd XI, He also continued his cricketing development with Cardiff MCCU, and the England Under 19 teams, before making his County Championship debut for Glamorgan against Derbyshire at Swansea in 2018.
During 2019 Prem also enjoyed a decent run of form in white ball cricket for the Glamorgan 2nd XI as they won the Second Eleven T20 competition. This led to Prem appearing in the Welsh county’s last two games in the Vitality T20 Blast. He re-appeared in Twenty20 matches in 2020 and 2021, although in the latter season he was hampered by a side strain.
He appeared on a regular basis in white-ball games during 2022 and 2023, with the latter season also seeing Prem making a further Championship appearance against Durham at Chester-le-Street.
