Paul Roebuck had a couple of years on the Glamorgan staff during the late 1980`s after winning Blues at Cambridge University in 1984 and 1985.

The bespectacled left-handed opening batsman had previously been on Gloucestershire`s books during the early 1980s and, with Steve James an undergraduate at Swansea University, Paul was signed to provide cover to Glamorgan’s top-order of Alan Butcher, Hugh Morris and John Hopkins.

However, Paul largely played 2nd XI cricket and only made a couple of Championship appearances for Glamorgan towards the end of 1988 before being released at the end of the summer. He is the brother of the late Peter Roebuck, the former Somerset batsman.
