All-rounder Moises Henriques was Glamorgan’s overseas player during the first part of the 2012 season whilst Marcus North remained in Australia to attend the birth of his second child.
The right-hander had been Man-of-the-Match in the Sydney Sixes’ Big Bash Final victory in 2011/12 against the Perth Scorchers, making a match-winning 70 from just 41 balls. He also had international experience in all formats with Australia but Moises found conditions, were very different in the UK for the first six weeks of the English season when he was attached to Glamorgan for five Championship matches, plus the three-day friendly against Oxford MCCU. During this time, he delivered some useful spells with the ball, but he failed to make a lasting contribution with the bat in what was his first spell in county cricket.
Moises also played for Surrey between 2015 and 2017 besides featuring for various franchises in the Indian Premier League. In all, he has appeared in four Tests, eleven One-Day Internationals and eleven International T20 matches Australia, whilst in 2019/20 Moises was joint Sheffield Shield Player of the Year.
