Edwards was a talented spin bowler with Bridgend who played three times for Glamorgan during 1895. After making his debut against the South Wales CC at Swansea, he played in successive games in July against Herefordshire at the Arms Park and Monmouthshire at Usk.
It is believed that Edwards attended Llandovery College.
