Joe Burns, the Australian batsman, played twice for Glamorgan in T20 cricket during 2018 before injury curtailed his stint in South Wales.
Joe had originally been signed by Glamorgan after fellow Australian Shaun Marsh had suffered a nasty shoulder injury in the county’s opening T20 match against the Sussex Sharks at Cardiff. Unfortunately, Joe also suffered a back strain on his second appearance, against Gloucestershire at Cheltenham College and returned to Australia less than a fortnight after flying in as a replacement.
In 2019 Joe was a member of the Ashes-winning squad having also had a brief stint with Lancashire. In all, the right-hander has appeared in 21 Tests and 6 One-Day Internationals for Australia, besides also playing county cricket for Leicestershire in 2013 and Middlesex during 2015.
