James Valentine

A stalwart of club cricket in South Wales either side of the Second World War, the left-arm spinner and left-handed batter was a late replacement in the Anti-Aircraft side which met Glamorgan at Rodney Parade, Newport for a one-day friendly during August 1944.

Later that summer, James made his one and only 1st XI appearance for Glamorgan in their match against Western Command at Ynysangharad Park in Pontypridd. He subsequently enjoyed a successful career with Cardiff CC.
