Imad Wasim joined Glamorgan in mid-June 2025 after five matches in the competition and following a leg injury to Australian all-rounder Hayden Kerr.

Born in Swansea in 1988 where his father worked as an engineer, Wasim grew up in Islamabad and studied medicine before opting for a career in professional cricket.

At the time of his signing, the slow left-arm bowler and left-handed batter had played in 55 One-Day Internationals and 75 IT20’s for Pakistan between 2015 and 2024, besides being a regular performer in T20 franchises worldwide, including Australia, the West Indies, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the United States and the Middle East, besides featuring for the Trent Rockets in The Hundred from 2023.

Wasim also played for Nottinghamshire between 2019 and 2023.
