Huw Jenkins played for Glamorgan in two Sunday League matches during 1970, as well as their friendly against Oxford University at The Parks. He struck an attractive 65 against the students, but never appeared in Championship matches.
The left-handed batsman had a fine record with Swansea CC, and after some impressive innings for the Welsh Schoolboys side, he made his debut for Glamorgan 2nd XI during 1966. Huw subsequently joined the South Wales Constabulary but he continued to enjoy much success in the South Wales Cricket Association, as well as making further appearances for Glamorgan 2nd XI.
In 1969 Huw had also been by the Welsh Cricket Association in their side which met the International Cavaliers at Colwyn Bay in a special one-day game as part of the celebrations for the investiture of the Prince of Wales at Caernarvon Castle. He duly made an unbeaten 62 against a star-studded bowling attack. He subsequently moved to Somerset and played for Clevedon CC.
