Geoff Robins

Geoff Robins had a fine career as a right-handed batter and seam bowler in club cricket for his native Pontarddulais either side of the Second WorldWar.

His one appearance for Glamorgan, against Sir Learie Constantine’s XI at Barry Island during July 1945, came only a week after he had returned to British shores having been a Prisoner of War in Germany for the previous four years. Despite his lack of match practice, he scored 20 in the match against the touring team from the Caribbean.
