The Somerset-born cricketer played for Penarth CC and made his Glamorgan debut during August 1913 against Monmouthshire at Rodney Parade before re-appearing in the County Championship match against Somerset at Swansea in June 1921.
He worked at Penarth Docks for the Taff Vale Railway as a coal tipper
