Edward Wroth played once for the Gentlemen of Glamorgan, in their two-day friendly against a Weston and District XI at Clarence Park in Weston-super-Mare. Batting at number seven he made 3 in his only appearance at the crease as the visiting team comfortably defeated the local team by an innings and 64 runs.
Educated at Warwick School and Pembroke College, Cambridge, Edward was a schoolmaster by profession and his selection in the Gentlemen’s side stemmed from the fact that he was teaching in Cardiff before the Great War. He subsequently taught in the Worcester area.
