David Blackmore was a talented footballer and cricketer in the Swansea area during the 1930s, who made a single Championship appearance against Somerset at St. Helen’s in 1934.
The right-hander was a heavy scorer in the South Wales and Monmouthshire League, who declined suggestions that he should turn professional and play on a regular basis for Glamorgan. Nevertheless, David showed his talents with 34 against Somerset. David also played for the West of England against Glamorgan during 1944.
