Charles Milford, who had served for many years with the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, played once for Glamorganshire. His appearance came in 1875 in the away contest against Breconshire, and it was likely that his call up to bat at number four in the side resulted from such decent innings for the Fusiliers whilst he was based at Brecon. However, he could not reproduce that good form at county level, with Lieutenant Milford making 3 and 0.
Educated at Haileybury School, he served with the Fusiliers in Gibralter and, whilst stationed on the island during 1879, Charles played in their matches against the 93rd Southern Highlanders. He was promoted to the rank of Captain in 1885 and after leaving the Fusiliers, he lived in Canada.
