Bob Dudley-Jones

Bob Dudley-Jones was a lively right-arm seam bowler who was on Glamorgan`s staff during the early 1970`s whilst he was training to be teacher.

Educated at Millfield School in Somerset, Bob had progressed from the Welsh Schools team onto  Glamorgan’s junior staff and he appeared in five first-class games as well as five one-day games between 1972 and 1974.

In 1974 Bob completed his studies at Cardiff College of Education and opted against being a professional cricketer. He subsequently taught for many years at Llanishen HS in Cardiff.

Bob was also a good rugby player and played at various times for Bridgend RFC and Cardiff RFC.

In first-class cricket – 5 v Worcestershire at Sophia Gardens, 1973; 4/31 v Hampshire at Portsmouth, 1972.
