The Builth Wells team of 1927. On 27 August of that year, Maldwyn Jones (seated far left) took 10/21 against Morriston Welfare CC. It was the first time the feat had been achieved at the Builth Wells ground. He was later presented with a ball mounted on a silver salver to mark his achievement. Following his death in 1987 Maldwyn’s ashes were scattered in the wood above the cricket field during a brief ceremony attended by his family and club officials. Credit – Steve Powell.
