He played one game for Glamorganshire against Monmouthshire at Usk on 22 July 1870. He scored 0 and 5* besides taking six wickets, but his efforts with ball could not prevent his team from losing by an innings.

At the present time, no record can be found of a B Edwin in the Census for 1861 or 1871. There is a possibility that this was one of the aliases used by Henry Grist, a journeyman professional who played for, amongst many other teams, Glamorganshire in 1868. At that time, it was not uncommon for professionals to play under an alias.
