A stalwart of Briton Ferry Town CC, Arthur Thomas was one of the talented amateur batsmen who got a chance to play for Glamorgan during 1913. He duly made a composed 26 against Surrey 2nd XI at The Oval, but curiously was never chosen again, despite a handsome record in club cricket.
