Albert Hadland, the owner of an arsenic and copper works in Swansea, played once for Glamorganshire in 1863 – appearing against Carmarthenshire at Llanelli House on 7 and 8 September. It was though a match to forget for the Oxfordshire-born businessman as he bagged a pair opening the batting.

Three years later, he played for the XXII of Swansea against the United England Eleven at the Brunswick Field. He fared slightly better making 6 and 0.
