Adam Harrison is the younger brother of David Harrison, and he briefly played alongside his brother for Glamorgan during the mid-2000s.
After impressing as a schoolboy for Panteg CC and Welsh age-group teams, Adam played for the county’s 2nd XI as well as the England Under 19s before making his first-class debut in 2004 for the MCC against Sussex, the County Champions, in the annual curtain-raiser at Lord`s.
Following several impressive spells for the county`s 2nd XI, Adam made his Championship debut for Glamorgan during June 2005, against Sussex at Swansea. With David Harrison also in the Welsh county’s line-up, it was the first time that Glamorgan had taken the field with a pair of brothers since July 1983 when Alan Jones and Eifion Jones played in the Championship match against Essex at Southend.
Adam also played in a trio of T20 games during 2005 but a foot injury blighted his subsequent career. He appeared in the Championship match against Essex at Chelmsford in 2006, as well as two List A games during the second half of 2007, against Kent at Sophia Gardens and Leicestershire at Grace Road, but despite a couple of operations, Adam was forced into premature retirement at the age of just 22. He subsequently trained as a teacher and played for Cardiff MCCU.
