On 9 September 2025 Glamorgan Cricket announced that Sean Dickson had agreed a two-year deal to play for the Club from 2026. He signed off his affiliation with Somerset by steering them through to the Vitality Blast Finals Day with a sensational knock of 71 off just 26 balls against the Birmingham Bears at Taunton, hitting a remarkable nineteen runs from the final over to secure a place for the West Country at Finals Day. Then at Edgbaston in the semi-final he struck 16 from as many balls as Somerset defeated Lancashire before making an unbeaten 33 from 22 deliveries in the final against Hampshire, besides sharing in a match-winning stand of 88 in 8.3 overs with Will Smeed.
Sean has been one of the most dynamic and consistent performers in the T20 tournament since moving to the UK in 2015, playing initially for Kent before moving to Durham and subsequently Somerset where he has been one of the batting stars in their recent successes in one-day cricket. In 2023 Sean top-scored in both the semi-final and final of the Vitality Blast competition as the West Country side emerged triumphant.
In 2021 the right-handed batter also top-scored for Durham against Glamorgan at Trent Bridge in the final of the Metro Bank One-Day Cup, hitting a belligerent 84, besides making 44 for Somerset in the 2024 final against the Welsh county. In December 2025 Sean also played for the Gulf Giants in the ILT20. As far as red-ball cricket is concerned, Sean had, at the time of his signing, 109 first-class appearances to his name, and a tally of 5464 runs including a career-best 318 for Kent against Northamptonshire at Beckenham in 2017.
